Hi, I'm Julie, Chief Executive Empress

of my little apple green design studio.

Welcome to my blog!

When I'm not out visiting a client or searching for just the right  product for a project, I can probably be found in my happy little studio (painted the perfect shade of green), busy drawing up new ideas for a cool kitchen or a "spa-licious" bathroom. I like to share the fun stuff I find along the way!

RANDOM NOTES FROM MY LITTLE

Where to find fun artwork for your home

where to find artwork for your home

Sometimes all you need to perk up a boring room or update it for the season is some new artwork. If there’s a HomeGoods store in your area, you know what a GREAT resource they can be. But if you want some other interesting options, here are a few places to look for artwork for your home:

Furniture and craft stores

Many furniture stores carry artwork to help show off their sofas and chairs and can be a wonderful place to find large art pieces that make a big impact. And if you haven’t checked out craft supply stores lately, like Craft Warehouse(!), they’ve got TONS of on-trend décor items that you can take home and hang right up, or even make them yourself.

Pinterest

If you’re a Pinterest addict like me, then you already know there are so many inspiring ideas it might make your head explode. Do a simple search on “art” or “illustration” and you’ll discover artists of all kinds who are selling some of the most unique and beautiful stuff out there.

And online, of course!

And then there’s the internet with an infinite universe of sites to explore for wall décor. Here are just a few where you can find art for your home:

Joss and Main - A great site for any kind of décor and home furnishings you can imagine. And at good prices with lots of sales. That’s where I found this canvas print of succulents which, BTW, are REALLY hot right now!

Decor at www.wayfair.com

Wayfair.com - Another great site where you can find anything and everything(!) for your home. The link will take you directly to their Wall Decor page. Oh my!

FreeArt.com - You can get lots of small sized pieces for FREE (+ shipping) and make a collage in any room.

AllPosters.com - This huge site has every style and medium of artwork you can imagine - - from limited editions to photography to wall decor. They even have a product called SwitchArt which is magnetic frames and prints that you can instantly swap out as the mood strikes you.

This barely scratches the surface for places you can find artwork for your home - - I haven’t even mentioned the excellent consignment stores, antique malls and resale shops in the area where you can find insanely great and quirky things to show off your own personal style.

If your home has a decor deficit or you need help pinning down that personal style of yours, let's chat. I'm happy to help!
